A series of photography experiments exploring the relationship between the skin and tactile materials as a part of a graduate design project. Focusing on skin picking and mental health, the photoshoots aimed to bring out and highlight the presence of flaws and scars on the body, celebrating them rather than erasing them.
The camera set-up, styling and editing was self-made.
Promoting self-love, these photos were posted on social media and used to connect to skin pickers all around the world. Shared and spread around the skin positive community on Instagram, they helped raise awareness of the often overlooked mental disorder Dermatillomania (Skin Picking/Excoriation Disorder).
